This session focuses on Dr Akshay Mangla’s new book, Making Bureaucracy Work: Norms, Education and Public Service Delivery in Rural India. The book investigates when and how public agencies deliver primary education across rural India.
Dr Akshay Mangla is an Associate Professor of International Business at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. His research examines the politics and institutions of development, governance, public service delivery and state-society relations in South Asia. Prior to joining Oxford, Akshay was an Assistant Professor at Harvard Business School.
